About the Scholarship
The CICC Scholarship is awarded annually to graduating high school students of Italian descent who demonstrate academic achievement, community involvement, and a commitment to pursuing post-secondary education. Scholarships are valued at $1,000 and are paid directly to the recipient's post-secondary institution.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the CICC Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

Be of Italian descent

Be a Grade 12 graduate residing in the Calgary Census Metropolitan Area (including Calgary, Foothills MD, Mountain View County, and Rocky View County)

Be intending to continue their education at a post-secondary institution and be registered within one year of graduation

Be enrolled in a degree, diploma, or certificate program with a minimum length of one academic year
Eligible post-secondary institutions include colleges, universities, and technical schools. Recognized private career or vocational institutions may be considered upon scholarship selection committee approval.
Selection Criteria
Applications are reviewed and awarded based on the following factors:

Academic standing

Extracurricular and community involvement

Proof of application at a post-secondary institution

Financial need — if applicable
Important Notes
The number of scholarships awarded each year may vary depending on the availability of funds, with the final number determined at the Board of Directors meeting each June. This scholarship is not renewable and previous recipients are not eligible to reapply.

Deadline: All completed application forms must be received by the CICC no later than September 30th to be eligible.
